Kids Juice Recipes

Health and Wealth

How to include kids while juicing?

Get them involved in the process. Bring them to the supermarket or a local store and get them excited about choosing your produce together.

Start with more fruit than veg juice. It will take their taste buds a little while to adjust to vegetable juice so introduce that slowly.

Add water to the juices if necessary.

You can strain the juice to remove any little bits that your fussy eaters don’t like.

Juicing 101:

For Constipation:

1 medium size Apple

1/4 cup pomegranate arils

2 tablespoon raisins

Water

Each pomegranate has a whooping 11 grams of dietary fiber which is about 40 percent of your total diet intake .

Apple contain pectin and are loaded with fibre and hence make bulk of stool and help relieve constipation

Raisins acts as natural laxative when soaked in water. They are fibre rich and hence help in constispation.

Take raisins in a bowl and add 1/2 cup hot water to it. Let them soak for 30 minutes.

Directions:

After soaking time, the raisins will absorb water and swell.

Add the raisins with the soaked water to a blender jar along with apple pieces and pomegranate arils.

Add around 1-2 cup of boiled and cooled water to the fruits in the blender jar.

Pulse multiple times to extract the juice from the fruits.

Strain this juice through a strainer.

You may dilute the juice further with water as per the preferred consistency.

Pineapple Cream:

2 cans (20 oz. each) crushed pineapple

2 tbsp. lemon juice

2 tbsp. lime juice

1/3 cup sugar

1-1/2 cups Cool Whip

Pineapple juice (as much or as little as you want)

Not very healthy but a fun drink to make! LOL

Directions:

Drain the crushed pineapple and reserve 2 tbsp. of juice. Set aside.

Place pineapple, lemon juice, lime juice, sugar and reserved juice in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Blend just a bit longer than you think you need to ensure it won’t be lumpy.

Pour into a gallon zipped freezer bag and store flat in the freezer for about 1-1/2 hours until it becomes a slushy consistency.

In a large bowl, gently fold the pineapple mixture into a Cool .Whip until blended. Return to the freezer for about 1 hour until completely frozen.
